There is an abundance of Free Items for both New and Old users in Second Life. In my early days way back in 2007, I was a regular visitor of various Freebie Dungeons or Free Item Areas. My inventory back then was filled with items from all the Freebie places I visited. I was also able to start my own small Freebie Place but I stopped giving them away after learning that many of these so called FREEBIES were stolen.

Today, I still give away Free Items but the items I give away now are from my own creations and these items are for everyone. New and old Second Life users can simply drop by my place in Second Life and grab all the free items they like. If you do visit my place for the Free Items then you’ll find them on one side of the wall. Don’t worry, you will not have a hard time finding them because my place is extremely small.

The items I am currently giving away for free are:

• Custom Fishing Rods for the 7Seas Fishing Game
• Various Shirts
• Shoulder Buddies, Huggables, Fishes and Pets
• Free Female Skins (created from the free skin templates of Eloh Eliot)

There are also some Shirts and Items inspired by the Emerald Viewer and zF RedZone dramas. They were listed in the Marketplace for Free before but they are no longer listed now. If you missed them then you can still find them at my place in Second Life and all of them are still Free.

Second Life is also FREE to Join. A Free Second Life Account user enjoys almost the same benefits a Premium Account user enjoys except maybe for owning Linden Land and Support. Last month, Nintendo revealed that Club Nintendo, Japan and Europe’s ace consumer rewards program, would launch in North America. Weeks of silence followed, but now Cammie Dunaway has started talking up the service. Here are five crucial facts she divulged to MTV Multiplayer:

• Club Nintendo in North America is still on schedule to launch before the end of 2008.
• It will be more like the Japanese program than the European, in that there will be more physical products than digital.
• As is the case in Europe, you gain points (known as gold coins in North America) by purchasing a product and entering a code on the Club Nintendo site, and can reap further points by completing surveys on the product you bought. In Europe, it’s worth mentioning that these are hardly time-consuming: just five or six questions with tickboxes.
• Unlike in Europe, you can gain points for indicating an interest in purchasing before buying. Noice!
• Some items from the Japanese service will make it to North America (Yay! And also: please include this).

I love freebies, who doesn’t? For a newbie, freebies or free items are a great help to get them started with their Second Life and the best way to find great freebies is to join freebie related groups. One of those great freebies group is *Sarah Nerd’s FREEBIE FREAKS!. Personally, I don’t know who Sarah Nerd is but I hear her name almost all the time so I guess she is a very popular personality in Second Life but who Sarah Nerd is, is not our topic, our topic is her amazing freebies group.

I’ve received so many great freebies from this group that I can no longer remember all of them but one freebie that I can’t forget is a male skin which I bought for 50L$ but was given away by this group for free. Aw, I can’t forget it because I spent 50L$ for it. LOL!

Recently, Misteri Writer announced to the group that he is closing his business and he is selling his products for 1L$. He even attached the bigger ones for free. (See Photo)

My only complaint about Misteri Writer’s package was they are copyable and transferable which is easily open to abuse by greedy residents. How? They’ll resell it at a price higher than 0L$. Aw! I guess that’s no longer his problem if someone resells the items in the package for profit.

Just recently, Sarah released to the group one of her hairs for free.

And a few days earlier she released one of her “nifty fifty” hairs. Arrgghh! It was also for women.

So, if you are looking for a great group for freebies then I strongly suggest that you join *Sarah Nerd’s FREEBIE FREAKS! Newbies should definitely join this group!

Just look at that. Isn't it glorious? What you're seeing above, folks, is a Wii-compatible SNES pad. Let's say that again, shall we? A Wii-compatible SNES pad. Don't get too worked up though, because unless you're a member of Club Nintendo in Japan, these are off-limits (not that using a SNES pad for your VC games is impossible, but still, this is the real deal).

Yep, it's another reason we really should move to Japan. Hit the link below, and you'll see two more: a 2-disc Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack and a Mario desk calendar. All of which are horribly, tortuously unobtainable. Sob.

3 Stars and a Sun is the name of my place in Second Life and I’ve made some changes/additions to it.

New Free Linden ATMs

The following Free ATMs are now available for everyone to use. You can earn Linden Dollars from using them by completing offers and/or surveys. The only problem is that most of the offers and surveys available are limited to a few countries but still some of them have offers and/or surveys for international users from time to time.

There is also an Earn2Life ATM where you can register and withdraw your earnings from Earn2Life.

Free Items, a lot of them

There are hundreds of Free Items at 3 Stars and a Sun. You can get hairs, tattoos, bikinis, gowns, dresses, suits, t-shirts, shoes, avatars, textures and a whole bunch of other stuff FREE at 3 Stars and a Sun. All of these FREE goodies are inside the many Freebie Vendor that surrounds the place. Just click on the NEXT button of the Freebie Vendor to cycle through the contents of the Freebie Vendor. I’m pretty sure that there are more than enough FREE items at 3 Stars and a Sun to get a newbie started with his/her Second Life.

I almost forgot the Freebie Network Giver. You can get some nice stuff from it FREE like the Male Skin pictured above.

New Interior Design

I’ve also changed the way the inside of 3 Stars and a Sun looks. The picture above shows the ground floor with the 2 huge M&M’s standing guard. The picture below shows the second floor of 3 Stars and a Sun. This is where the Free Linden ATMs and other FREE stuff are placed.
