According to the latest issue of Japanese mag Famitsu, the Wii’s Resident Evil fans indeed have something to be “very happy” about. Well, at least if they’re keen on another round of super-speed Resident Evil nostalgia, likely presented in the form of another first-person point-and-shooter. Though Capcom USA has yet to officially announce the game nor any specific details, Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicles looks to feature Resident Evil 2’s protagonist pair, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Oh, and zombies. Lots of ‘em.
We’ll update with more information as soon as we can.
[Thanks, Kevin]

Not that we’re complaining! Monster Hunter 3 (tri-) will probably launch in Japan next year, but first the port-happy Capcom wants to get you in the mood/tide you over with … more Monster Hunter! Famitsu reveals that Monster Hunter G, an extra frills edition of the first Monster Hunter game, will be coming to Japanese Wiis in the spring.
The Wii version, which Famitsu says (with ridiculous specifity) is 77% complete, will allow you to choose from PS2 or PSP controls, has widescreen support, and is apparently a near-identical port. Will we see this in places that aren’t Japan? We hope so! The title already came to the west (as Monster Hunter Freedom), but only on the PSP.
Monster Hunter G coming to Wii, for some reason originally appeared on Nintendo Wii Fanboy on Thu, 25 Dec 2008 16:00:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

This week's issue of
Famitsu has the scoop on
Namco Bandai's new "ruin-exploration RPG,"
Fragile ~ Farewell Moon Ruins. Along with revealing that the game will be developed by tri-Crescendo (
Baten Kaitos,
Baten Kaitos Origins, and
Eternal Sonata) and the
Venus & Braves team, the Japanese magazine previewed
Fragile with two pages of luxuriously purple screenshots and artwork. You can explore past the break for those.
Despite the protagonist's feminine features and outfit, the pictured character, Seto, is actually a boy.
Fragile might still be in the early stages of development -- Seto has the same pose in every shot and combat scenes are noticeably absent -- but it really looks like it has a lot of potential. Hopefully, this game won't eventually bomb in Japan like
Opoona did, and some publisher will feel motivated to bring this to the states.

Famitsu released their weekly top 10 sales chart today, and a non-
Wii Sports Wii game is at the top of the list! Of course it's
Super Mario Galaxy, which has bounced off of the planet right up into the highest levels of the sales atmosphere.
SMG has supplanted
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 as the highest-selling game for the week.
FFTA2 actually dropped to #3 because of another debut,
Ace Combat 6 for the Xbox 360. But that obviously doesn't count because
wooo Nintendo woooo. Wii Sports and
Wii Play (also known as "the Wiimote") continue to hold on to the top 10, in spots 8 and 9 respectively.
Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the post break to see the full list!
.
- Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
- Ace Combat 6 (360)
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire (DS)
- DS Nishimura Kyotaro Suspense (DS)
- Super Robot Wars Scramble Commander the 2nd (PS2)
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Time Exploration Team (DS)
- DS Bungaku Zenshuu (DS)
- Wii Sports (Wii)
- Wii Play (Wii)
- Ar Tonelico 2 (PS2)

This is so unsurprising it
almost doesn't qualify as news, but as it may influence, ooh, the three of you who weren't going to pick the game up, we'll press on. Basically,
Famitsu has just reviewed
Super Mario Galaxy, and awarded it a quite
stonking 38/40. The score consists of two 10s and two 9s from
Famitsu editors, and exactly matches the grade dished out to
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess last year.
In particular, the
Famitsu bunch were happy to talk up the game's difficulty curve and level design, while also reserving praise for the boss fights and the ways in which the Wiimote is put to use. In a nutshell, then:
Galaxy is drool-inducingly ace. Big surprise, eh?

With the
revelation of a new
Final Fantasy title hitting
Wii Ware, we here at Wii Fanboy found ourselves so excited that ... well, embarrassment be damned, we peed in our pants a little. What, like you haven't ever been that excited in your life? Well, aren't you
just so perfect.
Anyway, some new details have hit regarding the game.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Little King and the Promise Country (now
that's a title!) will be releasing to the Japanese public in March next year, costing 1500 Wii Points. The game will also take place after the GameCube title, with players taking over the role of the Little King, a Clavat-race character by the name of Leo.
1500 Wii Points is a better price than we thought the game would cost, to be honest.

Since it first
emerged earlier this month,
Namco Bandai's
Fragile ~ Farewell Moon Ruins has been a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Slowly but surely though, more on the tri-Crescendo-developed "ruin exploration RPG" is being revealed, and the past weekend saw a flurry of new media (such as the trailer above from the
official site), all of which points to an RPG rich on atmosphere and suspense.
Famitsu also had a few tidbits of gameplay information. Apparently, protagonist Seto will be equipped with a flashlight, which players will be able to control by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen. A metal detector will also be available (again, this will be controlled using the Wiimote), as well as "other tools." There is also talk of demons appearing during combat, though sadly a rather impenetrable translation prevented us from learning more. Nevertheless, you can color us
intrigued.
Head past the post break for a selection of screens, as taken from last week's
magazine scans.

Famitsu recently reviewed Suda 51's
No More Heroes and we're glad to say the game received some good marks. But, even though the game was received well by the Famitsu folk, they still found one problem with it: it might be a tad bit too hard. See, the game is supposedly too tough for the Wii's casual audience. So, it's not so easy to pick up and play like, say,
Super Mario Galaxy is. At least, that's what Famitsu thinks.
We would like to know exactly what Famitsu found to be too difficult about it, whether it was the difficulty of performing
Travis's maneuvers or it was simply just the
mission structure. Heck, it could've been a combination of any number of things. But, regardless, we can't wait until February, when we will find out for ourselves.
[Update: We don't know the actual text of Famitsu's review, but we do know that the translated review summary was
a joke on the part of NeoGAFfer "Dascu." We do know that the game received scores of 9, 8, 8, 9.]
