We know, we know — there are those of us who are into Ghostbusters and then there are those of us who are really into Ghostbusters. For the majority of us, dropping a paltry $60 on the Atari-publlished ghost-bustin’ game is more than enough. But don’t worry, folks, if you were looking to spent $130 bucks for the title, Amazon’s got you covered!
In the vein of the “Amazon Exclusive” Fallout 3’s Survival Edition comes the … “Amazon Exclusive” Ghostbusters: The Video Game “Slimer Edition.” Fancy box? Check. Ecto-1 keychain? Check check. Slimer … thing? You bet! We’ve compiled a gallery for your approval below. It seems like just yesterday we were thinking twice about that legendary cat helmet!

We know, we know: You woke up this morning thinking to yourself, “I really need a great way to waste this crisp $90 bill in my pocket, but I don’t know how!” Rest your worried head, friend, because Amazon.com has an answer for you in Punch-Out!! star Little Mac’s Boxing Glove. You read that right — not the game, but a single, signed boxing glove.
Ignoring all reality and allowing for the possibility that a video game character physically signed this $90 glove, this “limited edition” punching package arrives mounted on a 15” x 11” wood frame and ships with an “engraved plate donning the Punch-Out!! logo.” Head right on over to Amazon because supplies are assuredly going to run out … less than quickly. Oh, and just in case we weren’t clear enough initially: Punch-Out!! is not included when this glove becomes available on May 18 alongside the game.
Update: Commenter heyo007 pointed out that Amazon also has a “Heavyweight Contender Kit” as well, in case you were trying to round out your $90 Little Mac signed glove purchase with a $35 “inflatable desktop punching bag, King Hippo crown replica, boxer shorts and Doc Louis’s Remedy chocolate bar” purchase.

If you’re one of the eight individuals on the planet yet to acquire Guitar Hero Something, roughly now would be a good time to start. In a heartwarming display of post-festive cheer bid to rid itself of excess stock, the troubled Circuit City is offering savings on two Guitar Hero game/guitar bundles: Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, both for $47.99.
Alternatively, if you’re a grizzled, orange-button-happy Guitar Hero veteran whose home and life is being gradually consumed by plastic peripherals, Amazon is willing to sell you Guitar Hero World Tour for $34.99 — sans another instrument.

The House of the Dead: Overkill collector’s edition bundle is one of the best preorder items we’ve seen in a while, so it was understandably upsetting when Sega initially revealed the package as a Europe-only bonus. You can pack that pitchfork away for another day, however, because Sega has confirmed it will be spreading the love to North America. Preorder Overkill at GameStop, GameCrazy, or Amazon, and you’ll have the option to bag all of this. Yum.
North America also getting House of the Dead: Overkill bonus originally appeared on Nintendo Wii Fanboy on Mon, 24 Nov 2008 11:55:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

If you’re the type to never pay retail on anything, especially video games, the like-minded misers at the Cheap Ass Gamers community have found two worthwhile Wii deals for you:
If you haven’t looked into shoot-em-up Castle of Shikigami III before, make sure you check out the videos we posted a couple of months ago — there’s a flying butler! Amazon also has CSI: Hard Evidence on sale for $19.99, but we have a feeling that not many of you will be too excited to pick up this video game adaptation of a poor man’s Law & Order.

After only about
a month of availability,
Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast has had $20 knocked off its price. But it's not because it's a
horrible failure or something -- it's just Amazon's Deal of the Day! It's not often that first-party stuff gets discounted so soon, even just for a day. If you're looking for a Donkey Kong-themed racing game on the Wii involving bongo-barrel-shaped jetpacks, then this is probably the game for you, as it's the only game that description fits. For now.
With the extra money, you can go buy a couple of bongo controllers ... and ...
not use them with the game!

Amazon is holding its annual "
Customers Vote" promotion, and this year you might be able to score a great deal on a Wii. Round 1 of "Customers Vote" includes a choice between a Wii for $79, an Xbox 360 Arcade for $99, or a 40GB PS3 for $139. You have to be an Amazon member to vote for the deal you would like. If you vote for the
winning product, you have a chance to be one of the 1,000 people randomly selected by Amazon to purchase it at the promotion price on Thanksgiving (November 22).
Sure, you'll have to be really, super, awesomely lucky as we expect
tons of people will be voting, but well, it's worth a shot.
As of writing this, the Wii was leading the vote with 55%. The PS3 was in second with 32%, while the Xbox Arcade trailed with 13%. With the popularity of the Wii and the expected
shortages this holiday season, it's not hard to believe that the Wii will get the most votes.

Have you been sick to your stomach over the last year, hitting up store after store in your region only to be welcomed by such a lazily-made sign such as this, by some employee who is equally sick of seeing your face so often, because all you want is the
best gaming console ever created? Well, you've got an honest shot at securing a console from Amazon.com come Wednesday morning, as a PR rep for the company has informed us the online vendor has been stocking up consoles and preparing to fling them out the door with equal the speed at which they arrived.
That's right, come
this Wednesday at 10am PST (Pacific time, that's 1PM for those of us on the East Coast, so you might want to take an early lunch if you're at work), Amazon.com will be selling the console from their
video games section of their website. We can't provide any exact figures as to how many consoles Amazon.com has to sell, but we've been told it's "significant," if that means anything to you.
Happy hunting to those of you still on the prowl and be sure to let us know how you fare!

As a newlywed myself -- I traded power rings with my wife just last week -- I'm kicking myself over having not set up one of these Amazon
wedding registries, filling our wish list to the topmost edges of the brim with niche games and controller geegaws. I could be playing
Bust-A-Move Bash! right now, were it not for my shortsightedness.
Other couples with similar misplaced priorities, however, made sure to include Nintendo's much-hyped console on their lists, as Amazon charted the Wii as the number one most-registered-for item by engaged pairs. Pyrex's 10-piece tupperware set, long-criticized for its flimsy implementation of motion controls and lack of AAA titles, was a distant second.
Sony's 60GB Playstation 3 came in at a respectful 44th place, while the 20GB Xbox 360 managed to sneak in as the 96th most-registered-for product. As for Wii accessories, the remote (15), nunchuk (26), and
Nyko's charging station (76) all made an appearance on the top 100 list. OXO's locking tongs -- which aren't technically a remote peripheral, but could be used as one anyway -- sit at the 35 marker.
